Purdy's Chocolates
Media relations and marketing communications
DDSM provides media relations and marketing communications counsel and services to Vancouver-headquartered Purdy’s Chocolates, western Canada's favorite (and largest) chocolate retailer. We have worked to spread the word (and its signature hedgehogs) throughout Ontario (with its three new stores and planned further expansion in the Greater Toronto area) and to reinforce Purdy’s quality message in all of its markets.
NavaHealth Inc.
Media relations and marketing communications
DDSM works with NavaHealth, an innovative new organization that provides health system navigation and advocacy services in British Columbia. We assist with marketing, media relations, and corporate communications strategies and activities.
D-Wave Systems Inc.
Investor relations, media relations, corporate communications
We are providing a full range of communications services to this privately held “quantum computing” company, named by BCTIA as BC’s most promising start-up company in 2001 and in 2003, as BCTIA’s most promising pre-commercial technology. Communications are currently aimed at existing and prospective investors, and media.
GGL Diamond Corp.
Investor relations activities
GGL has been a client since 1997. We provide investor relations services for this long-time CDNX-listed exploration company. In addition to acting as a primary phone and email contact for the large shareholder base, we assist the CEO by providing writing services for documents required by the company, including news releases, the annual report, and presentations as required.
Pacific International Securities (PI)
Crisis communications, media relations, communications audit, marketing planning services
We have been working with PI for five years, initially providing crisis communications services when the company found itself the subject of negative headlines and news stories in national newspapers. Since that time, we have worked with the firm on a variety of PR activities.
Thrifty Foods
Media relations, corporate communications
Victoria, BC-based Thrifty Foods has entrusted DDSM to support their media and stakeholder communications, as they begin to bring their passion for food and customer service from their Vancouver Island base onto the BC “Lower Mainland”.

We are helping ING Direct raise awareness in western Canada, primarily through a proactive media relations program.
Imprint Plus
Media relations
Vancouver-based name badge and identification software manufacturer, Imprint Plus came to DDSM for help in raising its profile on a national level through a media relations program. Known as an innovator and leader in terms of quality product and service, Imprint Plus had stories to tell – and needed someone to help tell them.
DuMoulin Boskovich - a Vancouver law firm
Marketing communications
DDSM was engaged to assist in more strongly positioning this Vancouver law firm in the marketplace and to strengthen its marketing efforts. We worked with the partners to ensure 100% involvement and commitment by firm partners and associates, facilitating discussions, developing strategies, setting priorities for a short to medium-term action plan, and then supporting the implementation.
Concentrix Solutions Inc.
Communications and marketing strategy, media relations, brand awareness
DDSM was chosen to assist this relatively new partnership in establishing its reputation and brand in the marketplace. Based in Vancouver but already establishing a reputation as a business-focused leader in North America, Concentrix is a provider of individual coaching, corporate training and team building, and facilitation services.
Norsat International Inc.
Investor and public relations, media relations
This Burnaby, BC-based satellite technology company, listed on the TSX and Nasdaq, underwent significant change in 2002-2003 to focus on a new product line of portable satellite terminals. We provided investor and public relations support, media relations, and coordinated activities with marketing, sales and product managers.

We have assisted West Fraser Timber enhance its shareholder reports and financial news releases.
Health Employers’ Association of British Columbia (HEABC)
Communications planning, strategy and PR advisory services
We worked with HEABC in the fall of 2000, through 2001, and supported the CEO, key advisors, and chief negotiators with their media and internal communications throughout difficult negotiations with nurses, paramedicals, and other hospital employees’ unions.
GMC Projects Inc.
BC real estate developer
GMC came to DDSM for assistance with its communications strategies and promotional activities with respect to the launch and ground-breaking of a new development in Victoria. DDSM helped GMC create and stage an event that attracted key municipal and provincial officials, technology organizations, media, and other important stakeholders.
Vancouver City Savings Credit Union (VanCity)
Change management and communications strategy and program execution, communications training, external and internal communications management
Our work with VanCity began in 1997, first as VanCity spearheaded the creation of a national cooperative financial institution that brought together up to 16 credit unions from across Canada. We acted as communications project manager for the national community bank (NCB) group during that time.
Working with VanCity senior management, our senior consultant developed and executed a change management and communications plan to support a significant internal re-engineering project. This work included development of plans for various components of the project, documents and materials to support the plans, presentation skills coaching, and the development of a unique change management communications seminar for executives and for branch management.
